What should I expect from a Hypnotherapy session?

What to Expect During Your First Hypnotherapy Session
Your initial hypnotherapy session begins with a relaxed conversation about your goals and concerns. This helps your therapist understand your needs and tailor the session to you. You’ll have the chance to ask questions and discuss any misconceptions about hypnosis, ensuring you feel completely at ease.

Entering a State of Deep Relaxation
During the session, you’ll be guided into a deeply relaxed state, similar to daydreaming or meditation. Contrary to myths, you remain fully aware and in control. This state allows your mind to become more open to positive suggestions and new ways of thinking, helping to address the challenges you’re facing.

Working Toward Positive Change
The therapist will use personalised techniques to guide your subconscious mind toward healthier habits, improved coping mechanisms, or overcoming specific issues. After the session, you’ll feel calm and refreshed, and the insights gained can help you make meaningful, lasting changes in your life.

In summary, hypnotherapy's ability to access the subconscious mind, provide relaxation and deliver swift and lasting results makes it a compelling choice for certain individuals seeking to address mental health challenges.

Can Hypnotherapy & Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) complement one another?

Combining CBT with Hypnosis offers a range of powerful benefits. This approach can lead to shorter treatment times, improved ability to focus on therapeutic goals and a deeper awareness of the ideas and thoughts influencing emotional states of for example, anxiety, anger, guilt, hurt, depression, shame, jealousy & envy.

This approach also strengthens the client-therapist connection, promotes deep relaxation and enhances the effectiveness of CBT-based suggestions by integrating them (through hypnosis) into the therapeutic process.
